Playing with textures and colors again—this time, with an oil dispenser! The leaf patterns and the mix of green crystalline glaze with the natural speckled clay give it that cozy, earthy feel.

I actually use one of these oil dispensers at home, but I fill it with my special salad dressing. I love adding sesame paste to my dressing! So, I always have two kinds of salad dressing in the fridge—one that the kids like, and both are stored on the inside door of the fridge.

"Lately, I’ve been working on developing a new item – a large water jug that pairs perfectly with my marble mugs. I started this project back in July, full of enthusiasm! But as with any new development, there are always challenges to overcome. I designed this jug with a floral shape, using plaster casting, which makes the process long and quite tricky. At the moment, my success rate is about 16%... oh my! One successful jug was actually bought by a customer, and I didn’t even keep it for myself, but at least I have some pictures!

The failures? The floral shape needs to dry very slowly, or it warps easily... plus, adding the handle and spout is another tedious step. What do you all think? 🥹
I might need to take a little break, recharge my energy, and then come back to improve and perfect this design. 💪✨

My process for espresso cup.
I glazed outside of this espresso cup with liquid wax, It will help the glaze stay in the parts I want to keep. I wanted the look of the outside cup to echo this flowing pattern, so I went with this approach. But when using it, it would be better if it can be in a place with air flow, because the wax I use has a bit of a smell...
Then I will use a sanding board that I made to grind the bottom of the cup to make it smooth. I will also touch the outside of the cup to see which side is rough, and then rub it with sandpaper and water to prevent dust from flying.

The marble-patterned cups are about ten centimeters high and can be stacked on top of each other for storage. It has enough capacity to hold hot drinks in your hand, or drink cool water.

This time I made a design with blue and orange dots. It feels a bit like the sea or air flowing.
I like the combination of orange and blue, it adds a bit of freshness. Some iron powder is added in some places, which echoes the texture of the stone, and there are many small details. I really like it! ☺️

If you looked my works before, you can find I like the texture of marble and the flowing atmosphere, so this time I designed an espresso cup in this style, continuing the design I liked before. I wanted the coffee cups to be stored away so they could be stacked.

I added the wax in a hand-painted way so that the glaze would not obscure the pattern of the leaves. I have always loved patterns, and I wanted to find a pattern that reflected nature and brought a touch of touch, so I often use beeswax or cold wax in my designs.

Fruit bowl /berry bowl.
When the summer come, I like to start to make some little fruit bowl. It can hold some strawberries, cherry tomatoes, and small fruits harvested in summer. After washing, you can slowly drain them in this bowl.

I would add handles to them so they can be like baskets, like on a picnic.

Maybe next time I'll make one without a handle. Which one do you prefer, with handles or without handles?

Last Saturday they are all sold, and I received some encouraging comment! I’m so happy 😁

I have been modifying this green glaze since the beginning 2020, slowly changing it’s chemical composition. Before, it would crack immediately when used with other glazes, which was not very stable. Now it can match well with other colors, and it will not flow randomly. I am very satisfied that I can hold on to this! ☺️
So it’s time I can make some different sizes with this design! Stay tuned ! 😉
